The Sir John Soane's Museum, has been described as the 'most ingenious domestic architecture in Britain' and is a truly amazing London treasure-house. Left to the nation by the architect Sir John Soane in 1837, the house is full of architectural illusions and surprises which showcase Soane's vast collection of antiquities and art - from the sarcophagus of Seti l in the crypt to Hogarth paintings in the picture gallery.
