Located on its own private peninsula, the wonderfully surreal resort of Portmeirion was created by Clough William-Ellis in a startling array of architectural styles ranging from Italianate to Oriental. The village and gardens have been used for a number of Film and TV settings including the cult 1960's TV series The Prisoner.
