The British Boot Company in Camden Town started life in 1851, making and selling hobnail work boots. Fast forward to 1958 and the shop became the first retailer to sell Dr Martens. The shop is featured in several videos of the North London pop band Madness, whilst bands such as the Sex Pistols and The Buzzcocks were regular customers.
